Cultural Festival at Santhigiri

Note: The festival is non-religious and open to all public
Santhigiri Ashramam (14 km from Technopark – easier to reach than than city, driving directions) is hosting a four-day long cultural festival in connection with the dedication of their 100-ft Parnasala, which was recently inaugurated by our President, Smt. Pratibha Patel. This free cultural fete, open free to all public, will be a real treat to arts buffs.

The events will start with a musical concert by KJ Yesudas. The highlight of this festival will be a performance by 350 artistes, under the direction of Soorya Krishnanmoorthy. This programme will be a blend of classical dances, folk music and instrumental music.

On Saturday, there will be Ghazal Night by Pankaj Udhas, as well as a kalaripayattu performance by CVN Kalari. A veena concert by Bindu Kishore and a classical dance by Sobha Dominic will also be held on the same day.

A cartoon and painting exhibition will also be conducted during this festival.

The dedication of the Parnasala will be on September 12, and will be accompanied by a tableaux of traditional art forms. Percussionist Sivamani and violin artist Balabhaskar will perform a fusion music programme, which will be followed by a Bharatnatyam dance by Saritha Nair.
